The important point here is to watch what is going on around you.
This post is not intended to scare anyone. In fact, it is to
help you to either decide ahead of time to prepare or understand
that there may (not sure) be some temporary shortages of various
products this year, when you go shopping later this year. Some
shortages are perfectly normal and not easily predictable. Other
shortages, which may or may not occur, will be the result of a
bunch of "hype" that has been going on for a few years now, leading
up to this coming December. Panic or nervousness is not good and
will only make things worse.
Most people are pretty sure that the Apocalypse predicted for
December 21st, 2012 will not actually happen as planned. What few
people actually talk about is that there may in fact be some
problems that we may experience, just because of the perception
or idea. Those that are planning for the Apocalypse may begin going
on a buying spree for batteries, gasoline, oil, tanks of natural
gas, bottled water, dehydrated and dried foods, duct-tape, firewood,
fuel-powered (camping) lanterns, liquid-fuel powered (camping) stoves,
sleeping bags, canned foods and other types of survival gear.
This is just a "heads-up" type of warning and many things may have been
left out. The bottom line is that 2012 may see more and more shortages
of certain types of products, simply because those that can afford to
stock up on them may do so ahead of time, or plan on doing it at the last
minute, starting around Halloween through Christmas of this year. Halloween
is also the traditional (ancient, old-world) "Last Harvest" of the food
season.
Perception is a powerful influence. When you perceive that things are
going wrong, even when they aren't, this perception colors your views and
affects your behavior. You may observe or point out things that you normally
would not pay attention to. Like-wise, your actions may become reactionary
and defensive, when your perception suddenly changes toward the negative.
It is for this reason that it is expected that grocery stores, camping
departments and survival-equipment providers may have a temporary run on
equipment and products moving forward throughout this year and until
December 21st of this year of 2012.
If, and the word "IF" must be stressed, shortages and prices start rising
more quickly than normal, this will have been your timely explanation.
No worries, no stress and no panic. This will probably be a record-setting
Black-Friday year and a whopping-great and enjoyable Thanksgiving year
that we will all look back on as the posatve turning-point for the end of
global-recession.
This year, may turn out to be the first year that many of us will breathe a
collective sigh of relief and put the past behind us. We will be more optimistic
about the future after this year has ended.
Thirteen (13) original colonies did pretty good, growing into the world's 3rd most populace country…
Baker's dozen (13) instead of 12!
An "extra" chocolate-glazed donut? Whats wrong with that? Mmmmmm, donuts.
An "extra" Buttermilk biscuit!
An extra "Cheddar-Bay Biscuit" (Garlic-Cheese Bread!) With extra Butter and Garlic, please! Mmmmmm, Garlic-Butter!
13 Chocolate-Chip cookies—-Yes!
Ignore those superstitious, baked-goods-haters, we love to have extras!
Wishing everyone reading this a happy new year. With the payroll tax-cut extended, the continued savings should help with just a little bit of prosperity or savings.
I also wish for positive or improved relationships to you and everyone you know.
Peace be with you and everyone else on earth, especially THIS year (2012) but in all future years.
Maybe Mozilla did not, or knew they couldn't screw up…
Google has agreed to pay Mozilla (Firefox) nearly three-hundred Million ($300M) per year and nothing to sneeze at! Reports of Firefox' demise are greatly exaggerated.
Just read this:

What does Mozilla say?

We’re pleased to announce that we have negotiated a significant and mutually beneficial revenue agreement with Google. This new agreement extends our long term search relationship with Google for at least three additional years.
“Under this multi-year agreement, Google Search will continue to be the default search provider for hundreds of millions of Firefox users around the world,” said Gary Kovacs, CEO, Mozilla.
